I LOVE this article and agree with you that I enjoy my birthday every year. How wonderful that you would wake on your special day to the cake your mom baked while you slept. What a lovely tradition and now memory!

My mom has gone to heaven as well - almost 2 years now. Can't believe it! And she's been strong on my mind lately. I celebrate and miss her instead of grieve. She's in a better place and at peace.
