Thank you Selma for sharing you view and your wisdom — I so enjoyed reading what you had to say!

It started me thinking. I love Neale Donald Walsch and his view — he’s the one who replaced forgive with understand. And though I like that more, as forgive can be such a loaded concept, over time I wondered if understand was the right word for me. I get what you have shared with accept, like with understand, might it be a difficult concept for some.

I started thinking would a ‘better’ term be realize. To realize what happened happened and it can’t be changed. To realize that person either did the best they could given their model of the world, or didn’t know better. To realize they are who they are or to realize they aren’t going to change…

You were sharing that we don’t need to understand. I get that — and we might not even be able to. Accept might also be challenging “I can’t accept that this happened to me” as an example. I’m looking for a way that takes the judgement out and not use forgive.

And I’ve decided at this late hour for me to spend time on this — lol. Right now, it seems to work for me…

I so appreciate you and am so glad that we are reconnected!! xo

Sending you love and light ~
